Holy snap, does this thing still exist? I suppose so, I keep getting emails about it. Well that's weird, I thought all this would have faded away by now. It's strange.
I abandoned this, along with most other things, last year after a disasterous chain of events. A series of circumstances which were most unfortunate that left me beyond saddened, beyond depressed. It took a long time and a lot of effort, but I think I've started to pull out and move beyond what all happened. Maybe one day I can get the point where I can talk about it.
But for now, I have this. And I suppose that'll have to do. But hey, it'll all work out. As for now I've been watching a lot of stuff on Netflix lately. I finally got into Doctor Who, which it turns out is a pretty decent show. It's surprising, being as my only memories of it are the original Doctor Who..which, in the 80s, had production values on par with Star Trek in the 60s. Yeah..it was bad. Bad to the point of being unwatchable. But the new show is pretty keen. Christopher Eccleston was very enjoyable, David Tennant was superb, and so far Matt Smith's shaping up to be entertaining.
I've also been watching Outrageous Fortune, a show from New Zealand. It's a highly enjoyable series that despite starting out kinda slow has shapped up to be a very entertaining show. I'm about to finish up the 3rd season now, so I'll have to see how it finishes up. I'll letcha know how it turns out. But beyond that, the only other thing I've been looking forward to is seeing the eventual horrors of the new GI Joe movie that's out. I mean...they basically refilmed the whole damn thing. That's way less than reassuring. It'll be worse than those Transformers movies..and that's saying a lot!
It's been a strange week. From Boston to Texas and back to Boston. The vice keeps turning, tighter and tighter every day. Every day we inch deeper into the Crisis. Maybe some day I'll tell you about that as well.

Captain's Log, Stardate: 2011.1204
For the last seven days, Starfleet Command has kept me running ragged. This, gentle readers, is the reason why I have not updated my log entries in nearly half a fortnight. I apologize and will strive to do better.
I'm also going to take this opportunity to elaborate a little more about why I'm doing this. Simply put: I have a lot of thoughts and comments that I don't want to have associated with my "real" username. I'm not one to do that, really ever (I'm a one username across all services kinda person), but I really wanted to have an outlet that I could use without any real connection to me. Thus, my hidden blog (and my hidden tweets over at Twitter as @myhiddentweets) was born! And it was updated originally in late 2010 as purely a lark and an experiment. I did not like the format, so after a few months I stopped fiddling with it.
The desire to have an unaffiliated outlet, however, persisted...nagging and clawing at my thoughts. And after much thought, I've decided to switch to a Captain's Log style format for these updates. Why? Because I have no talent for any other form of outlet, and this is a style I can understand and work with. I read a Captain's Log to myself anyway when I'm goofing around at various times, so the connection seemed natural.
Since I intent to title these updates in a very similar fashion, I'm going to use labels a bit more to make searching for stuff easier. We'll see how well this works out.
Another elaboration: I don't mean to come across as too cryptic in these things..I'm just trying to keep the veil of obfuscation that I desire this blog to have. It's a very delicate balance, you see. If seems like it's too hard to follow, just let me know and I'll knock it off. I want people to be entertained, not annoyed. On that note, Starfleet Command generally refers to life in general as opposed to any one organization or group..just so no one gets the wrong idea.
Okay, that should about do things for now. The last week has been very busy..at almost a crushing level sometimes. It's not out of the ordinary, but it's still very tiring and somewhat stressful. At least I've only got two more weeks of work till my holiday vacay starts, so that's something positive.
I think that about does it for now.

Captain's Log, Stardate: 2011.1127
This is my first log as commanding officer. Starfleet Command has seen fit to recommission the USS My Hidden Blog and assigned her to active duty once more. Her mission remains the same...however the format shall be changed and the original goal shall be reinforced. Or, at least, that's my intention.
Tomorrow starts the official dedication ceremony, but I felt compelled to make this log entry now while the "new ship smell" still hangs in the air. Tomorrow is the return from a crew leave and a return to our relative normal operations...before I find myself back on the bridge, I prefer to bask in the comfort of my quarters.
I hope this proves more fruitful and interesting than past exercises. My overwhelming cynical side says it won't, but I remain optimistic. Perhaps this is the turning over of a new Tarkalean tea leaf. We'll find out soon enough.
