Gah, been away for a really long time. Things have been hectic and needlessly stressful. I will post a more formal update soon but I wanted to at least be known that I'm still alive. Will check in with everyone when the time is right.
Firefox has been acting goofy lately. Not a fan of Chrome, but might check it out soon. Speaking of checking out, EVGA has some nice nVidia cards..even if the 500 series is a bit pricey. But damn do those things scream.

Happy Halloween!
It's Sunday, it's Halloween, and I'm pilled up and feeling okay! That Verizon Wireless side-thing yesterday was long..but at least it's not stressful. One more Verizon weekend and then I get my full off-time back and I'll be a little bit richer. Yay for Verizon helping to pay for my new gaming PC next year (gotta have one ready for Duke Nukem Forever). For this glorious Halloween Sunday (which you know Jesus doesn't like), I have some more OC for you. It's another Ghostbusters comic I did a while back.
It made me laugh, anyway. Or chortle, as it were. I dunno. Tomorrow's back to the work week, still driving the rental Dodge Charger (note: Enterprise Car Rental is a pain in the ass to deal with), dealing with the insurance people. This sucks, I must say. Damn that cotton truck for nearly running me over. Anyways, hope everyone has a good Halloween!
PS: This week's Star Trek Online weekly mission was particularly good. A good ghost story, even featuring STO's one type of Proton Pack. It was awesome.

October Surprise
Another day down. Back to doing my side job with Verizon Wireless after a car accident induced delay. One more weekend of this and then the payoff, which is awesome. And hopefully an insurance payout in the next little bit, which will be even more awesome.
McDonald's just a new store not too far from my house, which marks the first time there's anything within 10 minutes drive. It is McDonald's, this is true, but it's better than Jack's. And this means that I can catch the occasional breakfast biscuit on my way to work, which is superb.
I'm really tired..I was up late last night (later than I should have been) re-reading the 4th volume of The Walking Dead. The AMC series is to air tomorrow, and if it's anything as close to as awesome as the comic is..it's gonna be some great zombie TV series viewing. And there's the hour-long Venture Bros. finale as well! Damn, gonna be some good viewing for a change!
And...it's almost time for the election! I'm waiting on the October Surprise...when's it gonna hit? What's it gonna be? The suspense is killing me!

Stumbling Back
The recovery from the car wreck continues. The soreness is mostly gone, just some isolated pains here and there. I've been taking Loretabs and working, so I've spent a lot of time out of it..that's why I've been away for the last little bit. I'm almost back to normal, or what I'd consider normal anyways. It's just been (and continues to be) a hassle to deal with the insurance people, the attorneys, the liability people, the Koopas, the Troopas, the princess and the others, but eventually it'll be done and over with.
For a rental I was given a Dodge Charger (my last car was a Hyundai Elantra), so it's a big change. The Charger is nice, but it's way too much for me (and I could never afford it, anyway). Also, almost dying by getting ran over by a cotton truck has opened my eyes a bit (read: scared the ever loving shit out of me), and I'm going to be making some associated life-choice decisions in the near future.
Sorry I've been away, but I've just been drooling 'cause of these damn pain pills. At least now the pain is largely gone, I don't have to take them as often as I had been. Which means I can get back to updating things in a somewhat timely fashion. I'll post some more OC next.

More car crash recovery
Still recovering from my car crash! Still really sore, still hurting in various places. Dealing with the medical insurance people (Blue Cross Blue Shield) for the ER trip and stuff, dealing with the auto insurance company (Geico) for the claim and the vehicle rental and stuff. Had to delay my side-job with Verizon Wireless until next week..it's just all such a huge hassle. Things will be taken care of until then, but still. It just sucks, all these insurance companies suck. At least it's all being taken care of now, and that's all that matters.
Papa John's and KFC helps to feed the soul when you're laid up hurting and have no ride. Man, I do miss my car. But I'm glad I wasn't killed in the crash (which could have happened quite easily). Now I'm just taking it easy till I get my rental, taking Loretabs when the pain creeps up, and just kinda hanging out.
Moral of the story: Never get in a car crash. It sucks. Fun fact, when I was hit (from behind), I was hit so hard it knocked my right shoe off. Thanks for sticking with me all you guys, I should be back to normal in the next day or so.

Car wreck
I had a major car crash yesterday while on the Interstate. I went to the ER, and aside from being a little banged up I seem to be okay. My car is totaled, and I'm starting the process of getting the insurance claim filed and I guess I'm going to talk to an attorney in the next couple of days. I'm really sore and tired..but I haven't forgot about by beloved readers! I'll make my belated rounds shortly, but right now I'm trying to take care of all this insurance/legal/medical crap that's now on my plate. Ugh.

Blarg!
Geez, am I ever not just super busy? I got another side-job this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon (not related to my other side gig, doing some work with Verizon Wireless). A Windows Server 2003 machine and a problematic laptop that it appears the hard drive might have died. A huge bummer, for them at least. The day's not over (when it is ever?), I'm slightly hungry..Taco Bell was purchased for lunch but it was unusually-nasty today, so I opted out of that. Dinner might be some type of fried chicken (KFC? Maybe! They're way less nasty than they have been in the past) as I've got into a dietary rut and want something a little different. I should prolly stop eating all this fast food, but then I'd have to find time (and ability) to cook.
Fallout: New Vegas is out, and I might pick it up tonight for some gameplay over the weekend. Then again, I might wait and get it next week and pickup where I left off of Deep Space 9. Decisions, decisions!
In closing let me say that I <3 you and I want to hold your hand. XD
PS: Bill Murray's Ghostbuster-costume appearance at the Scream Awards over the weekend was fantastic. XD

Drive By Update™
More like a slide-by update. Not feeling so well today, so it's just a comment and a video. Will be back on tonight, just haven't felt up for much of anything in the last day or so. Hope I feel better, so I can enjoy Fallout: New Vegas in the next few days.
I don't know why, but I often get the Heathcliff theme song stuck in my head. It's weird, but it happens a lot.

Short Sunday
Another Verizon Wireless side job down. Only two more to go! Sorry for no update yesterday, my beloved readers, as I was amazingly tired. And I'm still pretty damn tired, although it is still pretty damn early. Once I wake up and get some stuff done, I might post a real update. Or it might wait till tomorrow. But for now, here's some OC that I made a while back. I didn't make the image set, just the text.

A Max Headroom centric update
Phew! I survived another week! Sorry for the lack of update yesterday, I was super busy all freakin' day..and by the time I finally got home at night I was just exhausted. Today's been a day of errands: flu shot, banking, laundry, trips to the big box stores and goings on. Busy! So I'm keeping this update short and sweet, I'm going to take a shower and then I might sit down and watch some of my Max Headroom DVDs. Then time for more errands then back to my little side job with Verizon Wireless tomorrow. Yay for more bucks, boo for always being tired.
And a thought occurs to me: Max Headroom was Matt Frewer in a bunch of latex and other makeup, but it was portrayed as CGI. We actually have the CGI now to do a "real" Max Headroom...so why hasn't someone? They could get Matt Frewer to do the voice and to model the CGI after, and there ya go. With as cyberpunk as the show was (and if ya don't remember, go watch it again. It's sooo cyberpunk, the stuff in the background is as interesting as most other shows) it'd be a bigger hit now than it was back in the 80s. I'd watch it.

Batgirl!
I don't have much to say this Wednesday (been really busy!), but this is the beginning of something new. I like comics and like a lot of people I really like the Batman comics. I love the idea that Batman's made this surrogate family for him by way of his team..and one of my favorite not-Batman characters is Batgirl. I dunno why, but I've always liked her, the job role the various Batgirls have filled through the years.
A few years ago, an artist posted his idea for a rejected Elseworlds (basically DC's version of What If...?) comic that had a pretty cool Batgirl design. Within a few days lots of other artists jumped in and posted their version of Batgirl..some traditional, some very unconventional. Being a huge Batgirl dork, I saved a shit-ton of the pictures and now I'll share some with you all from time to time. This is one of my favorite pictures...it's just so fantastic!
The only thing I didn't really like was the blond hair..it looks really good, but I dunno. At the time it just didn't do it for me. But I rectified that with a trip into MSpaint. I also added a little (unrelated) blurb of text at the bottom after I saw it on a post on Fark. That, and a little size-increase, and whammo: my background for a few years. I didn't realize until now that I cut the artist's name off, and I wish I hadn't done that. I also wish I could find the person who did it, as it's just fantastic.
Anyways, I'll share some more Batgirl again in the future!

Drive By Update™
Time for another set of Drive By Updates™.
I had pizza last night, as I said yesterday. And it was nummy delicious! I think tonight might be a hamburger night. I do not know what type or variety of hamburger will be consumed, but it will most likely be tasty.
Years ago I had Netflix when it was just by-mail delivery and it was okay. But since Netflix has introduced the streaming broadcast to PCs and game consoles, I might check it out. I just wish that everything was always available for streaming rather than different titles at different times.
I've had satellite service for a very long time. Long before it was called DirecTV, it was called DSS and I was a subscriber. The cable service is laughable where I'm at, so satellite's the only option. I mention it because I'm going to invest in some HD receivers soon, and it's just funny...I still have some of my original receivers, still in use after nearly two decades of service. Yay for quality manufacturing.
I got a ticket the other day for failure to provide proof of insurance. I didn't have my little card in my glove box and while I have the App on my phone from my insurance provider...my phone was dead. When I purchased my Droid Incredible, I neglected to get a car charger. I spoke to my attorney about the mater, and I can prolly get it resolved with a quick visit to the court. And prolly a fine. At least my attorney let me consult with him without charging a fee, that was nice.
This week's gonna be ultra busy. Meetings, appointments, work activity, and then my side gig with Verizon Wireless this weekend. But fret not, beloved readers, for I shan't forget you (and I hope you don't forget me!).

Monday!
As I talked about in an earlier post, I like pizza. Pizza in it's many forms are awesome, and it's great because if you're pie has toppings ya don't like..you can just pick them off. Papa John's, as I said before, is prolly my favorite type of pizza, and I think I might get have some of their tasty pie for dinner tonight. I thought I'd share.
I finished Dead Rising 2 over the weekend, and damn was it awesome. It's always great to kill a bunch of zombies and doing so through co-op is also very awesome. I'm going on round two of the zombie murder spree this weekend, with a run through Left4Dead 1 and 2 on the PC. Since the new DLC is out (heard it's awesome!) and the fantastic comic is out if you didn't know, it's a perfect time to go run through the survivors with some friends and put down the undead zombie menace once again! Perhaps I'll do so while having some of that tasty Papa John's pie I mentioned earlier (not the same pie, obviously).
I think after that War for Cybertron will be played. I'm looking forward to this almost-G1 Transformers experience, and with Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime...shit, how could you go wrong? If only they could bring Chris Latta back from the dead to voice Starscream. Anyways, hope everyone has a good start to the week.

The Verizon Wireless stuff went very well yesterday. I am pleased with myself. I also beat Dead Rising 2 on the Xbox 360 with a friend of mine, and that was cool. But the biggest thing is that I've just hit 100 followers! 100+ people enjoy reading these stupid words and that's so awesome. I know some people talk about attorneys and some people talk about mesothelioma and some people talk about cars and some talk about video games and dork stuff like I do. But these are my stupid words that everyone's following, and I dunno. It's neat.
Let us celebrate in such a fashion as the driver of this wonderful automobile. Thanks for the support everyone, it means a lot!

Working for the Weekend
For the next four weekends I will be doing some work on the site in relation to Verizon Wireless. It's a little bit of a bummer, but at least I'm being paid for it. Kinda screws up the off time, but it's worth it for the bucks.
To make up for the shortness of the update, here's a neat picture from my collection. See ya tomorrow!
Aww, she's so cute.

99 Luftballons (2009)
This is one of my most favoritest songs ever. It's the most beautiful song about nuclear war you'll ever hear. Plus Nena just has this....look about her. It's awesome. And this cover is one of the best covers I've ever heard (plus it's done by Nena, so yay for that).

Short L4D-centric update
Gah, been running around like crazy this afternoon. Busier than normal! Nothing really new, but I will share this awesome photo:
I've always liked the shocked look on the Witch's face. Speaking of Left 4 Dead, the new DLC is out today! And over on Steam, Valve is running an insane deal: Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 for less than $11! It's insane! But yay for Valve, our saviors.
Question: What do you all think about fetishes? Let me know and maybe I'll show you one of mine...

Drive By Update™
Today's update is gonna be a Drive By Update™, a collection of little stuff.
I've go two EVGA 8800 GTX video cards with Accelero Xtreme coolers on them, 3 fans per card. Of the 6 fans, 3-4 of them are dying. Replacements are hard to find and I have no idea how to repair/replace the fans. Arg. >:(
I wish Adult Swim would cancel those horrible live action shows they air. None of them are any good, they're not funny. They're just not.
I love the Venture Bros. more and more with every episode. I really hope they'll announce the 5th season soon.
The appeal of keeping a hidden blog is still really appealing to me. Just stick with me, things will get more interesting.

Back to the Grind
I've been off work for the last two weeks and today was my first day back. Man, it's amazing how much you don't want to go back once you're off for a bit of time.
While my time is going to be more limited, I will not let my beloved blog (and my equally beloved readers) go without content. But I'm kinda torn as to what type of content I should put up here. My original intent was stuff that I wanted to share but not necessarily associated with my usual username. I'm fine with doing that, but I don't really know what you all would want to see.
So, tell me what type of content you want and I'll do my best to produce such. Stories, random thoughts, goofy pictures, what? What can I put on here to make you come back and visit? Post your suggestion in the comments and I'll do what I can!
PS: Dead Rising 2 is just as fun 14+ in. Playing the story co-op just added a huge level of enjoyment and fun to the game. Once I'm done with this I'm going to try to squeeze in Transformers: War for Cybertron before Fallout: New Vegas hits later this month.

Dead Rising 2!
After finally replacing my dead Xbox 360 (purchased in anticipation of Dead Rising) with one of the new slim 360's, I got a chance to play Dead Rising 2 for a few hours tonight. And it's pretty fantastic!
Firstly: I really dig the new Slim Xbox 360. It's no longer Xbox huge (it's smaller than my non-slim PS3) and is really damn quiet. Add this along with built-in Wifi (802.11n to boot), more robust hardware in general and a shitload better cooling and you have a mighty fine 2nd major hardware revision. Good on ya Microsoft, took ya long enough! ;)
DR2 however, is just such an improvement over the original. The first Dead Rising was a fun game (who doesn't like killing zombies in a mall?), but it was riddled with flaws. Awful aiming mechanic, stupid save system, HORRIBLE survivor AI, messed up in-game text, Otis and his stupid action canceling calls, generally klunky controlls..so many things were wrong with this game. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it! It was fun and I don't feel as my money was misspent..but it was a very flawed game.
Dead Rising 2 seems to have fixed the vast majority of the problems with the original. Better aiming, much better survivor AI, smoother controls, a fixed and proper save system, fixed transmission system..I could go on! It's like they..*gasp*, actually listened to people's complains about the first game and fixed them! It's refreshing to see a universal fixing of some of the most fundamental issued with the first game. Bravo Capcom..or Blue Castle, whoever (Side note! Blue Castle Games was just purchased by Capcom. Gee, I wonder why?).
The other huge addition to the game is multiplayer. One form of it is presented as a zombie themed gameshow who's results actually care over into the single player game. A multiplayer mode that directly impacts the single player experience, neat! Haven't played it, but looks fun. But...but but but! The most awesome thing I've been looking forward to is co-op. Cooperative gameplay's always been a favorite thing of mine going all the way back to Doom and Duke Nukem 3D. It's finally gained massive popularity in the last few years and we're starting to see it included in more and more games, which makes me happy. I got go through about 4 hours of gameplay with a good friend of mine tonight, coop'ing along and killing the shit out of some zombies. It was fantastic! Not the same experience as Left 4 Dead, equally as fun and enjoyable (again, who doesn't like killing zombies?).
Props to the devs on this one. They fixed the flaws with the original game, working in new and meaningful gameplay additions, and gave us a pretty awesome lead character (I like Chuck as much as Frank at this point, and I lurvs me some Frank. He covered wars, y'know). I'm really looking forward to playing more and finishing it with my friend and having a blast killing the shit out of the undead. While running around in a Servbot head.

Mental Images
Bleh, it's late and I'm tired. But I want to give my beloved followers something to glance over until I can muster up the energy for a real update.
This pretty much sums up PostSecret. While it is a fun website and some of the art is really good (I actually bought two of their books) this sums up almost all the secrets in a nutshell. I dunno, this always made me laugh. I applaud anyone who takes the time to participate in something like PostSecret, but I'll think of this image forever more.

B&
Just got smacked with a 2 week banhammer for previously non-ban action. That's ex-post facto, man! I wonder how many others felt the blow and what that means for everyone.
Hectic!
Things have been pretty busy for the last few days, thus why there hasn't been many updates. I'll see if I can rectify that in the days to come, but for now here's a picture of a stretched DeLorean limo.
Now that's classy.

She's a fine ship
Cleaning. While de-dustifying I cleaned what might be the most uncomfortable phone ever: The USS Enterprise phone. While it looks cool (and has a neat ring), this thing's a bastard to actually hold and use. Uncomfortable on the hand, uncomfortable on the shoulder, it's just awful.
That said, it's a pretty nice reproduction of the Enterprise. The underside of the saucer section is a bit larger, as an earpiece, but it's still cool. Here's a picture of her, all nice and cleaned up.

Many forms of pie
I stopped at the store a few minutes ago and got a slice of their pizza. Like most gas stations, this form of pizza was not the most wonderful, but it served it's purpose of making me not quite as hungry as I was before. This got me thinking...I live in an area where no one delivers, you have to go pick it up..which makes getting pizza all the more of a pain in the ass. Thus, the pizza that you are going to end up ordering better be good, or it's seldom worth the effort. This got me thinking about the various pie establishments.
Pizza Hut: Ugh, Pizza Sucks. Greasy, loads of slighty nasty sauce, too much bred, but damn..they're everywhere. Truly a real life version of Pizza Dinosaur.
Dominoes: Since they changed their ingredients earlier this year, they've risen to a respectable ranking in my Pie-O-Meter. Not bad, still room for improvement.
Papa John's: My preferred take-out pie. Good bread, sauce, cheese, toppings, everything. A little pricey, but worth it in my taste bud's opinion.
Little Ceaser's: The lowest of the low. Not bad for $5 when it's hot..otherwise it sucks.
The only pizza I'd like try would be from Mona's Pizza, but I've heard they're a little crazy. Catchy jingle though.

Leet skills
Hm, working on this shitty design. I gots no graphic design skills. But in place of more entertaining content, here's a picture of what I hope happens in November.
The beginning
This is the beginning of my hidden blog. It's linked to from my Twitter account http://twitter.com/myhiddentweets and that's updated far more frequently. Basically this page is for stuff that's more than 140 characters in length.
I hope this works as well as I think it will. We'll see.
